Second Global Comic Awards Open Jointly With Tapas Contest Theme: The Last Train

April 16, 2024, Tokyo - Celsys today joins with Tapas to open the second iteration of the Global Comic Awards on the theme of “The Last Train.” This webcomic contest for creators worldwide offers cash prizes, media placement opportunities, and creative app licenses, providing a chance for enthusiastic young creators to learn new techniques and connect with influential media organizations. This contest is hosted jointly with Tapas, the leading digital publishing platform for webcomics and webnovels in North America.

Open from April 15 to June 30 (PDT), the Global Comic Awards is accepting English-language scrolling webcomic submissions from comic creators of all ages. Participating artists can have their stories seen by many and potentially connect with international webcomic and manga publishers supporting the contest. Stories should be between 15–75 panels and told within 1–5 episodes, and will be judged by a panel of Tapas staff members based on the quality of artwork and storytelling.

Prizes include US$3,300 for the Grand Prize (1 person), as well as cash prizes for the second and third prizes and 10 Excellence awards.
